Top Prospect at Ellerslie
Top Prospect continued his winning run with a gutsy win over 1600m at Ellerslie on Tuesday. From barrier 17, Alysha did a great job to get him positioned on the fence early and never covered any extra ground, getting a gun run up the rails to win by a head . He has compiled a handy record of 2 wins & 2 placing from his 5 starts and looking a promising type for his owner Arthur Avis.

Shangold was a little overwhelmed with the Ellerslie atmosphere and a bit out of his depth against more experienced maideners over 1400m on Tuesday. He will benefit greatly from the run and we expect better things from him in the future.

Biggin Hill has been scratched from a strong field at Te Rapa tomorrow and instead will head to Awapuni on Thursday for the open 1200m. Kelly McCulloch will be back on board.
Irish Missile and Swissta galloped left handed this morning at Counties in preparation for Dargaville next Friday. Both horses may also have blinkers added to their gear to sharpen them up on race day.

Cinematic and City Boy will gallop on Saturday in preparation for Tauranga next Saturday. Te Rapa has come up a bit too soon for Selfie. He has galloped impressively this week and is not far off being back at the races.
Son Taari is another who will gallop on Saturday, he is on track to race again at Avondale on the 15th. Fast Learner was to trial at Ellerslie this week, he may now race fresh up at Counties on Cup day over 1100m. Florence Hill could also be seen back at the races on Counties Cup day over 1400m.

Japhite is back to full working with a change of shoeing, she has missed a bit of work with the foot issue and will need to be back to full fitness before racing again possibly late in November. Lady Henrietta was good through the race day barriers this week, she will have a jump out shortly before trialling. Captain Rio – Pyrate Princess & Time Lord stretched out well in their workouts at ¾ speed.

Our youngsters Molly Polly, Red Giant – She’s A Tomboy and the Medaglia D’Oro – Lunar Eclipse fillies had their first workouts at ¾ speed this week. Azamour – Cataari continues with pace work.

In Australia
After coming through her last start at the night meeting so well Untamed Diamond will chase the $100K prizemoney on offer at Canterbury tomorrow. She has drawn barrier 6 of 12 over the 1100m and has Deanne Panya back on board claiming 3kgs. She galloped brilliantly at Warwick Farm for Deanne on Tuesday.

Segenhoe will trial at Warwick Farm today over 1200m. Safely through his trial he could head to Hawkesbury on Friday 19th to race over 2000m. Moki will trial at Rosehill on Monday over 900m  to assess how forward he is to make his debut. Dark Secret has recovered from his bruised foot and is back full working.
