It’s been a quiet week on the racing front with no runners from the stable last weekend however the next week will see a host of our horses stepping out.

We will have two runners at Te Rapa on Saturday, although the track is a heavy 10, Te Rapa usually holds up better than most tracks over the winter months. Bachelor Brave will race in the R65 2100m, ridden by Michael Coleman and Proud Life in the R85 2100m. She will be ridden by Viktoria Gatu claiming 3kgs bringing her down to a lightweight 51kgs.

Avondale on Wednesday 10th is looking to be a busy day, with 9 runners to be nominated including Chaprise, The Hawk, Raadical Jazz, Mills N Boon, Blue Pool Blur, Shantav, Queen of Cool, Our Kismet & He’s A Bigdeel.

Hot Mustard ran a nice race for 6th at Kembla Grange last Thursday. Ridden by Jason he got back in the field and ran home well, looking like he will be well suited to racing over 2000m at his next start again at Kembla on 16th June.

With limited racing options available for him, it is looking like Jesshanimo will race next at Ruakaka Saturday 13th over 1600m.

Coachline had a good hit out on Tuesday and will gallop again on Saturday in preparation for Ruakaka Saturday 13th over 2100m.

Biggin Hill also had good workout at ¾ speed today and will again Saturday in preparation for Ruakaka the same day over 1200m.

Cambridge trials are scheduled for next Tuesday 9th and we are optimistic they will be held given the ongoing wet weather. Providing they go ahead Les Silk will trial over 1000m or if not she may head straight to Ruakaka on Saturday 13th, first up over 1200m.

The same goes for Ventura,  she will trial over 1000m on Tuesday or she may go straight to Avondale on the 10th over 1200m providing she can make the field.

So Wotif will also trial over 1000m on Tuesday or as a backup he may go to Ruakaka to gallop between races to bring him on for racing.

City Boy & El Escolta have continued with work at ¾ speed and will gallop in company on Saturday.

Perfectly Ready –Cataari looked good stretching out at ¾ speed for the first time yesterday.

Cartell, Fast Learner, Gerry O’Reilly, Selfie, Untamed Diamond and Cinematic all appear happy to be back in the stable and have completed slow work this week with no issues.

The Red Giant – Regal Symphony filly has had a quiet week on the walker, she has been unable to work under saddle due to a girth rash.

Yearlings –

Testa Rossa – Taunt Pauline gelding and Domesday – Orpenalla gelding will work for another couple of weeks at the track.

Alamosa – Pinot Grieve filly & Smart Missile – Miss Shamrock filly are both looking good ridden at our home track, they should progress to working at Counties track by next week.

Currently Spelling –    Lady Royale, Bellino & Primrose Hill.
