Son Taari went a big race to finish 4th first up at Matamata on Wednesday, on a very deep and testing track. He appeared to relish the wet conditions and should pick up a win or two on the wet winter tracks. He may start next at Counties on Wednesday 22nd June over 1600m.
Dark Secret was sent out favourite at Matamata on his previous good run at Waipa, however he failed to handle the very heavy track and will now head to Ruakaka on the 18th in search of better conditions.
