So Wotif & Raadical Jazz are on their way to Hawkes Bay to race at Hastings tomorrow. So Wotif has had two runs back this time in and with Zinjete Moki’s 3 kg weight claim looks well placed over 1200m. Raadical Jazz will also race over 1200m. He will be ridden by Vinnie Colgan and should appreciate the better track conditions at Hastings, he has raced well fresh up previously.
Back in the north Queen of Cool & Shanzou will race at Ruakaka. Queen of Cool has drawn a small but talented field over 1200m. Shanzou’s win came on a heavy track so it will be interesting to see how he handles the dead 5 track at Ruakaka. Both horses will be ridden by Alysha Collett.

Ventura has been nominated to race over 1400m at Waipa on Wednesday and will gallop on Saturday in preparation. She has come through her race very well. City Boy, Blue Pool Blur and El Escolta have also come through their races well and have trained on nicely this week.
Cinematic has enjoyed stretching out at ¾ speed during the week while Cartell, Chaprise & Perfectly Ready – Cataari will step up to some faster work on Saturday.
Untamed Diamond, Fast Learner, Bellino, Coachline, Selfie and Lady Royale have all worked along well in preparation for trials at Avondale next Tuesday 1st September.
Biggin Hill, Mills N Boon, Primrose Hill, Artic Breeze, Shantav, Sahkees Secret – Sister City gelding continue with quiet pace work.
Two year olds –
Domesday – Orpenella gelding and Alamosa – Pinot Grieve Filly have looked good stepping up to some faster work this week.
Testa Rossa – Taunt Pauline, Fully Fledged – Zazonali, Snippetson – Molta, Cape Blanco-Beauty Queen & Rip Van Winkle- Lady Pay geldings, & Smart Missile – Miss Shamrock filly continue with pace work.
Captain Rio- Pyrate Princess gelding has resumed at the track this week.
Currently Spelling – Swiss Ace- Sacrista, Swiss Ace- Princess Caroline, Choisir – Folk Music, Florence Hill, Man of Power – Ocean Run & Red Giant – Regal Symphony.
