Untamed Diamond & Selfie will represent the stable on Boxing Day at Ellerslie on Saturday. Selfie will run in the 3yo 1400m which has attracted a very strong line up, he has drawn barrier 7 and Alysha Collett will ride. He has also had the blinkers removed from his gear.

Untamed Diamond will start in the R75 1200m, she too has drawn barrier 7 and will be ridden by Alysha Collett. Both horses galloped very well during the week and go into their races into tip top condition.

Cartell was to run in the R85 1400m on Boxing Day but drew barrier 12 of 12 so he will now run in the R85 1200m on Monday 28th. Zinjete Moki will take the ride claiming 3kgs.

Hot Mustard will race at Randwick on Boxing Day again over 1600m with Kathy O’Hara on board. He was in need of his 1600m race last Saturday finishing 8th on the good 3 surface at Kembla Grange. The track is currently a heavy 9 at Randwick which he will appreciate. Both his wins have been on heavy tracks.

Fast Learner at Te Rapa last Saturday.
We didn’t have much luck last Saturday at Te Rapa with Cinematic getting no favours from the outside barrier, getting caught three wide, then racing greenly in the straight finishing 8th. She could start next in the special conditions maiden over 1400m on New Year’s Day and may race in blinkers in future.

Fast Learner was once again slow to jump from the gates, once he caught the field Alysha gave him an economical trip and he made up a huge amount of ground along the fence to finish 3rd only .3 lengths from the winner. His last 600m was run in a very quick 34.36 seconds. He would only need to jump with the field in the Rich Hill Mile on New Year’s Day to be competitive.

Bellino was given every chance by Derek Nolan, finishing 3rd over 2100m. He has pulled up only fairly and may be feeling the effects of racing on firmer tracks of late.

Biggin Hill has had a few issues with tying up this week and as a consequence won’t start on the 28th, he will now wait until Thames on January 3rd to race over 1200m. Primrose Hill was in need of her gallop during the week and will have a bit more work under her belt before she starts again, possibly at Tauranga on the 2nd or Ruakaka on the 5th.

So Wotif has improved in his work this week after some treatment for soreness issues. His gallop on Tuesday was sound and he may also line up at Thames on the 3rd.

Rip Van Winkle – Lady Pay, Cape Blanco – Beauty Queen, Swiss Ace –Princess Carolina & Captain Rio – Pyrate Princess geldings all looked good sprinting up over 500m today.

Swiss Ace – Sacrista, Suad & Irish Missile have ticked over quietly this week.

Currently Spelling –     Queen of Cool, Alamosa – Pinot Grieve filly, Red Giant – Regal Symphony, Arctic Breeze, Red Giant – She’s a Tomboy,  Florence Hill, City Boy, Choisir –Folk Music filly, Ventura, Son Taari, Savabeel – Shantaine filly & Dark Secret.
