Cartell will take his place in the R85 1200m at Ellerslie on Saturday. He has drawn barrier 1 and will be ridden by Zinjete Moki bringing his weight down to 58kgs. With recent rain the track should race with some give, currently a dead 6 which should suit him nicely. Biggin Hill will be scratched with his awkward draw and be saved for the R85 1200m at Otaki Saturday week.

We are getting closer to racing again at Counties. Gallops are scheduled for Tuesday 23rd. This is a great opportunity to be able to gallop a number of our team on the good surface including Cinematic, Biggin Hill, Fast Learner, Irish Missile, Untamed Diamond, Florence Hill & Savabeel - Shantaine filly. Track riders and jockeys have been impressed with the improvement to the track, now being completely flat compared to the previous undulation. Jump outs and trials will follow over the next few weeks leading up to racing on 10th April.

Ventura, Queen of Cool, Dark Secret & City Boy continue to tick over nicely. All are working towards resuming racing once the tracks ease. The Choisir filly Japhite is ready to step up to some faster work later next week. She has developed into a lovely filly who has impressed us with her work of late.

Two year olds Alamosa – Pinot Grieve filly & Testa Rossa – Taunt Pauline gelding have both filled out and developed over the past few months, they are both due to have their work stepped up shortly. Les Silk & Son Taari continue with steady pace work.

Currently Spelling –      Arctic Breeze, Red Giant – She’s a Tomboy, Cape Blanco – Beauty Queen, Swissta, Rip Van Winkle – Lady Pay, Swiss Ace – Princess Carolina,  Captain Rio – Pyrate Princess geldings & Selfie.
