Selfie and Bellino both ran very good races at Ellerslie last Saturday. Bellino got well back early in his race and made up an enormous amount of ground in the straight to finish 4th only 1.2 lengths from the winner carrying 60kgs. He has come through the race well and will start next in the open 2100m at Te Rapa on the 19th December.
Selfie settled back in his race over 1300m, he flew home late and was checked just short of the post when going for a run on the rails finishing 3rd, 1.5 lengths from the winner. He was very unlucky considering the sectional times he ran on the day. He has come through the race in excellent order and will race again on Boxing Day over 1400m.
