With no runners in New Zealand this weekend all eyes will be on Untamed Diamond at Royal Randwick tomorrow. The filly has drawn nicely at barrier 5 over 1100m and will be ridden by 3kg claimer Blaike McDougall, with her previous rider Andrew Adkins being committed to ride another runner in the race. She has trained on well from her first up run for 5th at Canterbury.

Hot Mustard has come through his last start very well and will line up again at Warwick Farm on Wednesday over 2200m. Any rain will only help his chances.

Ventura missed her race with the abandonment of Kembla Grange races last weekend, she will now start later in the week, possibly Newcastle Saturday 18th over 1300m.

Swissta at Ellerslie
Swissta ran 6th in his debut at Ellerslie on Monday, he really struggled on the slow testing track and will now be put aside for a spell to come back when track conditions are better.

With big nominations at Te Rapa City Boy failed to make the field and will now run at Ruakaka Saturday 18th along with Dark Secret, Biggin Hill and Cartell. All four will appreciate the better track conditions that Ruakaka usually offers at this time of year.

Top Prospect finished 2nd, beaten just a short head in his trial over 935m at Cambridge on Tuesday. It was an impressive effort coming from last on a heavy track ridden by Alysha Collett. Shanbeel (Savabeel –Shantaine) also trialled in the same heat, she never looked comfortable in the heavy conditions and will now go for a short break.

Swiss Ace – Vibe galloped well last Saturday and had a jump out though the race day gates on Thursday. He will trial at Avondale next week. Son Taari has come through his race at Matamata well, he has pace worked this week along with Selfie.

Irish Missile & Rip Van Winkle – Lady Pay have resumed training this week and the Hussonet – Tevez filly has returned from the breakers and will head to the spelling paddock for a break.
